Reliance launches Lyf handsets as first nail to 4G connectivity
India’s third largest selling phone brand in March quarter sounds like quite an achievement in a short span. Here’s talking about Lyf smartphones by Reliance Jio. Notably, the company whose name speaks volumes, worked for the most affordable range of smartphones as well. This is an initiative of Reliance Jio Infocomm, the telecom subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL).

In a matter of 6 months after the launch of the brand, it claimed an extensive market cap. We hope for better results in the long run. After all, only few newly-launched products enjoy such avalanche of sell right after the launch. By and large, only Reliance has come up with such point perfect technology. Pricing, this and that
Probably first time in history a smartphone comes as cheap as 2999/-. There are varied models launched in consecutive order namely Earth, Water, Wind and Flame with different price ranges. However, the cheapest ones will be Flame 3,4,5 and 6. Identically similar, all the mobiles support hi-speed 4G VoLTE coupled with 3 months of 4G data free by Reliance Jio. The SIM cards that offer 75GB of 4G data and 4500 minutes of call times come for only Rs. 200. Jaw dropped? Wait. There’s more.

As of now, the Reliance Jio SIM is only available on purchase of a Lyf handset. All the models are sold from company’s Reliance Digital, Digital Express stores. They in fact sell the necessary accessories as well.
A few words about Reliance Jio 4G speed
Reliance Jio 4G will altogether be a lifetime experience for the consumers. Although the service is due for launch at end of 2016, only Lyf mobile customers are open to an early preview. To tell you, the minimum download speed of RJio SIMs is 8Mbps whereas the average speed is over to 18Mbps. The JioNet WiFi service too hits 65 Mbps high for downloads and 71 Mbps for uploads. Disclaimer: the speed may vary across cities and locations.
Competitions for Reliance Jio Lyf smartphones
As can be seen, the sturdiest competition Reliance Jio faces from Samsung and Lenovo mobiles. Nevertheless, Lyf still holds the market share of 12.6% which is pretty commendable.
