Hello, ladies! Summer is one season where you not only need to flaunt your bodies but also your hair. It is no less than a crime to go back to high school, college or work with the same hairstyle. Changing your hairstyle has its own perks – looking bold, feeling confident and of course more attention from your loved ones. So here are 7 things you can do with your hair to look and feel different!
1. Hair Extensions
During the summer, it gets super hot! Plan to trade frizzy hair for cute high ponytails and braids? TRUST US, these styles are out this year! Picture yourself with a brand new set of hair extensions that you can swim with, wear up or down, and you can keep them in all summer with NO damage. Yes, we’re talking about tape in extensions. Tape-in extensions are much easier to wear and easier to maintain than you might expect or believe based on previous experiences. They are lightweight, reusable, water proof, sweat proof and will last you all summer!
2. Soft, Tousled, Beachy Hair Waves
Beachy hair waves not only looks sexy during Summer but is a favourite for all seasons. This style takes up a maximum of ten minutes and goes with every outfit or occasion. To get this hairstyle, you need to take an empty spray bottle, pour a cup of warm water, add 1 tablespoon of sea salt, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, 1 tablespoon of gel, and mix and shake it well. Don’t forget to spray it generously all over your hair!
3. Hair colour/dye
If you’re looking for a complete makeover, hair colour is your thing! But you have to make sure that the colour you choose goes well with your skin colour, else you’ll end up looking like a disaster. Ecaille, cinnamon swirl, buttery? It sounds like a French cafe menu, but these are the hottest hues this year so far.
4. Hair straightening
Permanent hair straightening or even using hot irons on your hair, is a very common way to get a new hairstyle. We strongly recommend you a few home remedies that not only make your hair look straight but also nourish your hair, at the same time. Ladies, toss those hot irons and expensive treatments aside and follow the Bible written by your grandmothers. A banana-papaya mask is all you need to tame the frizzy hair. Take few bananas and mash it together with a papaya. Now add a spoonful of honey to it and apply it on your hair. Keep the mixture on your hair until it’s completely dry. Once done, wash your hair and then blow dry in a downward motion.
5. Hair Highlights
The good news about opting for highlights is that you can experiment as much as you want, the bad news is that its high maintenance. Highlights usually don’t last for more than three to four months. Here are a few styles you give a try – Dirty blond with light blond streaks, medium brown with gold, allover blond highlights, deep brunette with caramel highlights, chestnut brown with ribbons of red, red with touches of blond.
6. Hair Buns and Braids
Summer is rapidly approaching, and for women with long hair, that means trying to figure out how to get our strands up and off our necks as fast as humanly possible. Ponytails and simple buns can get boring, though, so we’re always in search of more interesting, beautiful solutions for our fabulous locks. A dreamy fishtail braid, a detailed waterfall braid, classy bouffant bun, the “tuck and cover” French braid, or a messy braid will all work wonders to give you a new and flamboyant look!
7. Haircut
What can be more refreshing than a good haircut? Haircuts are more useful than you think – they help you get rid of your split ends, extra volume, reduce hair loss, and give you an absolutely new look! Layered looks (there’s one for every length), blunt bobs, and rock ‘n’ roll fringe should be an inspiration for your next salon appointment.
