7. Tunnel 33, Shimla
One of the less scary stories, the friendly ghost of Captain Barog is said to roam in this tunnel of Shimla. He was a railway engineer during the British Raj, when the tunnel was under construction. Although the tunnel is named after him, he was fired in the middle of the project. His ghost now has friendly chats with whoever takes the tunnel.
8. D’Souza Chawl, Mumbai
The chawl is a very famous haunted site. Years before the incident happened, a well in the chawl was a source of water for everyone. A woman is believed to have fallen into the well and died. Locals claim to have seen her roaming around the chawl, and they also say the spirit is pretty harmless.

10. Haunted Fort of Bhangarh, Rajasthan
Bhangarh Fort is located in the Alwar District of Rajasthan. It is one of the most popular haunted places in India. The beliefs in the stories surrounding the Fort are taken seriously. So much so, that the Government of India has a put up a board prohibiting tourists form visiting or staying in the fort after sunset. It is believed that the fort is cursed by black magic, by a magician who was in love with the princess.
